A. had lots of fun dying eggs for Easter this year. J. was less helpful and we ended up just giving him a sucker so he would be content to sit by us while we made our little masterpieces.
This, however, was NOTHING compared to the fun they had FINDING the hidden Easter eggs. A. was so so happy and got really into it. He was even able to find many of the well-hidden eggs and wanted to "play again" once all the eggs were found.
J. loved his pinwheel (its so cute to watch him try to blow it), and really enjoyed putting eggs into his basket - a fun game in and of itself.
Of course, once he discovered there was candy inside the eggs, his egg hunting came to a quick and complete halt. I guess you don't have the foresight to complete the harvest while you can when your 1-yr old. Luckily, A. was quite generous with his candy (but not his eggs... go figure) so J. didn't miss out on the sugar. What a nice brother! Conveniently, J. ended up spitting out all his candy after sucking on it for a while so I didn't have to worry about him eating too much. I DID have to worry about the sticky messes all over the floor, but at least Lessa had fun too. J. sure mastered the sign for "more" while he followed A. around with his Easter basket.
